The advanced industrial digital magnifier designed and manufactured by Microconsult
OCULUX is a patented device, manufactured entirely by Microconsult s.r.l. and also distributed and resold by the leading microscopy manufacturers and dealers.
The OCULUX Macro Zoom Magnifier features an innovative illumination system that enables the capture of high-quality images while maintaining diffuse and uniform brightness across the entire surface of the sample under examination, whether concave, convex, flat, spherical, angular, or irregular in shape.
The OCULUX Macro Zoom is equipped with high-quality optics designed to deliver true real-view performance, featuring full HD 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second to ensure visual quality even during motion. It is equipped with:

Camera control via PC through USB connection (with data management over LAN, meeting the requirements of the national Industry 4.0 plan)

Stand complete with manual focusing system, featuring an ergonomic design for simple and intuitive operation

Reflected light stand
The working distance can be adjusted from 15 cm up to 2 meters using the dedicated stand.
The zoom allows magnification from 1× up to 40×.
With OCULUX Macro Zoom, geometric measurements can be performed directly on the monitor without the need for a PC.
Images can be saved directly to an SD card, viewed live, and later accessed on a computer or another external device.
OCULUX Macro Zoom is supplied with a 24” HD LED monitor.

Four particle size fractions of the same lunar regolith simulant: from dark grey (>200 µm, basalt-rich) to near white (<50 µm).
In a study by the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence and the INSTM consortium, published in Materials (MDPI), the OCULUX Macro Zoom digital magnifier was used to acquire the sample images — specimens with concave, convex and irregular geometries, imaged under diffuse illumination that stays uniform across the entire surface.
